This course provides an in-depth exploration of the Supreme Audit Institution Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF). It offers a comprehensive overview of the framework, its objectives, and its critical role in enhancing public sector auditing globally. Participants will gain an understanding of the SAI PMF's purpose and foundational principles, as well as its six key domains, which cover various aspects of an SAI's operations and effectiveness, from independence and legal frameworks to ethical standards and audit methodologies.
The course will highlight how the SAI PMF strengthens accountability and transparency within public sector audits. It explains the voluntary adoption and benchmarking process against INTOSAI principles and international standards. Furthermore, the course outlines the strategic objectives of the SAI PMF, including capacity development, strategic planning, and enhanced accountability, emphasizing its role as a strategic tool for SAIs to improve governance and foster continuous improvement.
